Macbook Air: Now Shipping
Apple® today announced that MacBook Air™, the world’s thinnest notebook, is now shipping.
MacBook Air measures an unprecedented 0.16-inches at its thinnest point, while its maximum height of 0.76-inches is less than the thinnest point on competing notebooks.
Apple also announced that the new Apple TV® software update, which allows users to rent high definition movies directly from their widescreen TVs, is not quite finished. Apple now plans to make the free software download available to existing Apple TV customers in another week or two.

Sony Ericsson to Make Windows Mobile Phones
BARCELONA (Reuters)-Sony Ericsson and Microsoft will cooperate in making smart phones, with the first Sony Ericsson handset based on the Windows Mobile operating system on sale by the end of the year.
The world’s fourth-biggest cell-phone maker also unveiled six other new models on Sunday, including two additional touch-screen phones, a Walkman music phone with 8 gigabytes of memory and a dust-resistant camera phone. The Microsoft deal means all the world’s top handset makers apart from Nokia will now have Windows Mobile versions. The Sony Ericsson model, named the “X1,” will be a slider phone with a typewriter-style qwerty keyboard and touch screen. [click to continue...]
